Oahu Helicopter Tour

Oahu Adventures - View Oahu's stunning landscapes from the air with Makani Kai Air Charters! Makani Kai Air Charters has been in business since 1988 and was the first helicopter tour company in Hawaii to be IS0-BAO certified. Makani Kai operates two Eurocopter A-Stars as well as a Hughes 500D. The A-Stars are equipped with Bose noise-cancelling headphones, custom leather interior, air conditioning, and large windows for unobstructed viewing. Tours range from 30 minute tours of the east end of the island of Oahu to 60 minute tours that covers nearly the entire island.

The Pali Makani - This 30 minute tour begins with a view of Ke'ehi Lagoon as well as Honolulu Harbor. You will also see Ala Wai yacht harbor, Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head, and Oahu's "Gold Coast", and Hanauma Bay.

The Hidden Oahu - This 45 minute tour includes all the views of the Pali Makani, but also takes you over the beautiful Waimanalo Beach, the coral formations of Kaneohe Bay, Chinaman's Hat, and then "Jurassic Park" valley which has been the location for many major films.

The Ali'i Sacred Falls - This 60 minute tour allows you to take in almost the entire island of Oahu. You'll see the same views as the Pali Makani and the Hidden Oahu tour, but so much more. You'll fly over the Polynesian Cultural Center, the Mormon Temple in Laie, Turtle Bay, and Kahuku Point. Your tour will also take you along the famous North Shore with views of world-renowned surf spots like Sunset Beach, Pipeline, and Waimea Bay. On your way back to the heliport, you'll head south through Kolekole Pass which is the route Japanese warplanes flew on the Day of Infamy in 1941.

The Ko Olina Circle Island Spectacular - This 60 minute tour is the same as the Ali'i Sacred Falls, but it is designed for guests of Ko Olina Properties, Ihilani Resort, and Disney's Aulani Resort.

The Ko Olina Waikiki - This 30 minute tour is designed for guests of Ko Olina Properties, Ihilani Resort, and Disney's Aulani Resort. Your tour will offer views of Pearl Harbor, Ke'ehi Lagoon, Aloha Tower, Waikiki, Diamond Head, Punchbowl, Lulmahu Falls and more.

The Doors Off Adventure - This 45 minute tour is more of an adveture tour than a scenic tour. You'll have the wind in your hair as you fly in the same helicopter used in Magnum P.I. This tour is excellent for photography since you don't have to shoot through the Plexiglas windows.

Cancellations must be made by calling our concierge lines at 808-214-9283. We will not accept cancellations via email, voicemail, fax or chatline. You must call at least 48 hours before the event for credit or refund to be applied. Some activities require a longer notice or will not allow cancellations once booking is made (each tour description will show exceptions to the 48 hour rule if applicable). Activities are 100% refunded in the event of your tour being canceled by the Activity Provider for any reason, such as weather, mechanical, etc. Ohana Fun! Hawaii will make every effort to get approval from an activity provider but cannot guarantee a refund until such approval is granted.
