    Value Maui Bike Downhill Day Tour

    MAUI Activities - This is an excellent tour for those who have already experienced Haleakala National Park, and just wish to enjoy a great bike ride! This tour does not include a visit to the National Park, but does include round trip transportation from the bike tour baseyard, where a continental breakfast will be provided along with all equipment (bicycle, helmet, windbreaker jackets, pants and gloves). Your tour guides will provide you with a history of Haleakala, its geology and an explanation of the rare plants and animals only found in Maui.

    Your bike ride begins at the 6,500 foot level of Haleakala, where you will receive a comprehensive safety briefing and will then begin your 20-mile ride. Your guided bike ride will go down the slopes of Haleakala Crater, through Haleakala Ranch, the upcountry communities of Kula, sopping at the Sunrise Market Protea and Flower Farm for a no-host lunch stop.  Following lunch and tour of the flower farm you will continue your bike through the upcountry communities of Pukalani and Makawao, where your ride will end.

    RESTRICTIONS:
    Must be 12 years old
    Must be at least 4'10" tall
    Must be a competent bike rider
    May not be pregnant
    Must sign an acknowledgement of risk form
    Must view the Mountain Rider safety video

    Things to consider before participating:
    - Are you taking any medications that would impair your ability to ride safely?
    - Do you have any medical conditions that would affect your ability to ride safely?
    - Are you affraid of heights?
    - Are you comfortable on a bike (getting on and off safely, riding a bicycle in complete control, and maneuvering your bike through 180 degree turns)?

    Please understand that if a participant is found to be unable or unwilling to satisfy the qualifications of participating in this bike tour, Mountain Riders may terminate his/her participation at any point during the tour.
    You must also be aware that this activity entails risk of injury and even death.
