    Polynesian Village Luau Maui

    The POLYNESIAN VILLAGE LUAU WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

     

    is a great luau  option for those who just want to make sure their kids have a great time! It is a Maui family luau like no other, offering many activities that are guaranteed to excite & amuse all members of your family!  Nowhere else on Maui can you find a POLYNESIAN VILLAGE that offers cultural demonstrations, interactive dance & play! The fun includes complimentary Keiki shave ice, jumping castle, Keiki drums, and Keiki hula pre-show, and crowd participation! Experience an activity that will last a lifetime. This is a NON-ALOCOHOLIC event but guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages.

    You'll get to see a live IMU (hot earth oven) demonstration, Kava Ceremony, live drums, Polynesian songs, dance, and comedy from the hearts of “celebrity status” entertainers who will take you on a journey to visit ancient ways of the Pacific region. The POLYNESIAN VILLAGE LUAU will cook local favorites the way the locals like it - classic barbeque! You'll get a taste of locally grown products and some of Hawaii’s favorites dishes, including Spam-musubi, local coconut drinks and heavenly sweet desserts!

    The POLYNESIAN VILLAGE LUAU embraces our sacred and historical setting by supporting conservation of the Ko’ie’ie – an ancient fishpond located within close proximity to the Village, while paying special attention to the island located directly off shore, Kaho’olawe, a link to the Polynesian past.

    At arrival, guest will walk through the open grass lawn & enjoy Polynesian Cultural Activities:

    * Coconut husking demo & coconut bowling
    * Spear throwing and warrior games
    * Live IMU (fire oven) demonstration
    * Conch shell blowing demonstration
    * Ukulele mele (lesson),
    * Keiki drumming circle
    * Basket weaving
    * Wood carving
    * Fresh flower lei maiking
    * Photo opportunities

    Special activities for Keikis (kids) include:

    * Jumping castle
    * Keiki shave ice
    * Fun tattoo
    * Hula lessons
    * Goody bag

    The show will open with a pre-show hula demonstration, including keikis

    * Act One – -Kava Ceremony
    * Act Two – Kahiko, honoring ancient past of area – Ko’ie’ie Fishpond, Kaho’olawe, and Kalepolepo
    * Act Three - Tahiti
    * Act Four - Comedy
    * Act Five - Hawaii
    * Act Six – New Zealand
    * Act Seven - Fiji
    * Act Eight - Samoa
    * Act Nine – Fire finale
    * Act Ten – Conclusion and display IMU

    The Polynesian Village Luau is located at the Maui Lu Resort in Kihei and is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 5pm.
